If you’re in the farming industry or an abattoir, this is the ultimate poultry plucker bundle! This awesome bundle comes with KuKoo’s 70L poultry scalder & 50cm poultry plucker.

The poultry scalder can save you so much time and makes the plucking process even easier! By opening the pores, you can pluck birds in seconds and minimise the effort this step takes.

The poultry scalder is ideal for use before plucking, it makes the whole feather removal process quick & efficient. Made from stainless steel this machine scalds chicken, duck, goose or turkey in approximately 30 seconds!

The plucker is a tub style mechanical poultry plucker with a stainless steel barrel which is lined with yellow rubber fingers, which rub against the poultry as the base of the barrel spins around and remove the feathers fast.

Poultry Scalder

Immerse the birds into the scalding machine for approximately 30 seconds (larger birds may need more time than this). While immersed, agitate the bird to ensure the water is reaching the skin under the feathers.

After immersing, pluck one of the bird’s wing feathers by hand to check the scald. If there is no resistance when plucking, the bird is sufficiently scalded and should now be plucked.

Poultry Plucker

As the machine processes your poultry, you will need to use a hose pipe to wash away the feathers from the inside of the barrel and birds, this will ensure the machine continues to pluck. Using water with electrical appliances can be dangerous so with this machine we advise the use of an RCD adaptor (not provided). In the event of a broken wire this will instantly cut off the electricity supply to the poultry plucker to prevent shocks.

This poultry plucker can hold up to 6 birds; including chicken, goose, turkey and duck. However, this does depend on the size of the poultry, because different breeds of bird may be smaller or larger than average.This plucker cannot be used with pheasants.

Please Note:

Over-scalding the bird may damage the bird’s skin or start cooking. Adjust your timing on repeated immersions to ensure the bird is not over-scalded.

The following times may be used as a guide to ensure you do not over-scald your poultry:

  • Chickens: 1 minute
  • Pheasants: 1 minute
  • Turkey: 1 minute
  • Quail: 1 minute
  • Duck: 1 minute

When scalding, the following temperatures are recommended:

  • Chickens: 143°F (63°C)
  • Quail: 127°F (53°C)
  • Duck: 155°F (68°C)

How long does delivery take?

All orders before 2pm are dispatched on the same day. Orders received after this time are dispatched on the next working day. Delivery takes just 1-2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. Delivery to Northern and Southern Ireland takes just 2-3 working days from dispatch.

Some larger or fragile orders may need to be delivered on a pallet and need to be signed for therefore in these cases we will contact customers via phone before arranging dispatch of an order.

How much does delivery cost?

*We offer FREE DELIVERY to nearly all UK mainland addresses! We would love to offer free delivery all over the universe but in reality some places are not very easy to deliver to so a small postage fee is applied to non-mainland UK, and just a few mainland postcode orders. We try to keep delivery costs to an absolute minimum and these are added to orders at the checkout.

Can I return my goods if I am not happy with them?

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please get in touch and we'll happily arrange a refund or exchange within 14 days of receipt of your item. 4. CANCELLATION AND RETURNS POLICY

4.1 Cancellation Policy

(a) You have the right to cancel your order at any time before the delivery of your order by e-mailing us at sales@monstershop.co.uk or phoning us on +44 (0)1347 878888.

(b) In the event of you cancelling your order before we dispatch your order we will issue you a refund for the total value of your order including any postage and packaging charges. We will refund you within 7 working days of the cancellation of your order.

Cooling Off Period

If for any reason you wish to return a product in perfect working order, we provide a 30 day returns policy as long as the item is returned in an unopened, resalable condition. Returns need to be made within 30 working days from the purchase date and the buyer is to cover return costs.

2. Buyer arranges return of the item/s.
3. Once returned, the item will be inspected by our Quality Care team to ensure it has been returned in an unopened, resalable condition.

A 12 month warranty is provided on all of our electrical products therefore in the unlikely event

you ever need to use the warranty; we will cover all labour and parts. The buyer must cover the returns cost and provide tracking information. Our warranty policy is to try fixing the item before arranging an exchange or refund. We will cover redelivery costs.

2. Once returned, our engineers will work on fixing the purchased item. Only if the item is in an unfixable condition will an exchange be arranged. If no suitable replacements can be offered we will offer a full refund.

For non-electrical products, a 30 day returns policy is provided therefore in the unlikely event that your item is delivered damaged or in non-working condition we will arrange an exchange free of charge.

Paid inspection

After the 12 month warranty on electrical items has expired, or after the 30 day returns period for non electrical items, we do offer a paid inspection service. For £29 our technicians will inspect an item and provide a quote for any extensive repair work and parts needed. The buyer is responsible for returning the item to us and providing tracking information. Once repaired we will cover the costs of re delivering the item.
